Paneer bhurji withTandoori masala

Last weekend was long weekend for us, So we went for 3 day trip( It was awesome trip and we had great fun). After coming back I didn't get time for grocery. So today when i opened my refrigerator it was all empty. No vegetables what to do ? Luckily I had some paneer stored in my freezer. But was not in mood to fry the paneer cubes and make something so I decided to make Paneer bhurji. I added Tandoori Barbeque masala to it for the first time and it came out really well. My husband liked it so much that he wanted the same subji in his tiffin for the next day . Was happy Becaause now i can wake up a little late next day "need to make only chappati in the morning :) "
So here is my recipe :

Ingredients:
  • Paneer 250 gms grated
  • Onion 1 Medium finely chopped
  • Tomato 2 medium ( 3 if small) finely chopped
  • Garlic cloves 2
  • Green chillies 2
  • Coriander leaves one bunch finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Tandoori Barbeque masala 3 tsp ( i used MDH )
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Lemon 1 tsp
  • oil
Method :
  1. Heat some oil in a wok and add the cumin seeds and the green chillies to this, let it splutter.
  2. Now add the onions and garlic and let it saute till you the onions are light brown.
  3. Add the salt and other spices to this and let it cook for 2 mins.
  4. Add the tomato and let it cook untill mushy.
  5. Now add grated paneer and cook for five mins. Add the corrainder leaves and cook for another min. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Panneer is ready to eat. Serve hot with chapati or any indian bread.

That looks yummy. I normally add some peas too to the bhurji. Will try it out with tandoori masala. It goes very well with paneer generally, have to add it to the bhurji now :)
